Pankaj Kapur to sing live for the first time ever

After debuting as a director with Mausam, Pankaj Kapur is all set to debut as a singer too.

Pankaj Kapur will be singing live at Mausam's music success party. This will be the first time ever that he will be singing live. He has been practicing since few days to be able to sing live and is going to perform on song called 'Saj Dhaj Ke... '. Apparently, this song is sung by Pankaj Kapur himself in the film along with Mika Singh.

Apart from Pankaj, singers Mika Singh, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Tochi Raina, Hard Kaur etc, are also going to give live performances at the success party to be organized soon.

Close source reveals that, "Pankajji loves music and has a lot of knowledge of Punjabi folk songs. He gave a lot of valuable inputs to the music of the film. He keeps singing in front of his friends, but has never sung live in front of a huge gathering. He is very excited to perform live in front of the entire star cast of the film, especially son Shahid and wife Supriya."

Pankaj Kapur confirms, "I am glad that the film's music has really been appreciated and we wanted to celebrate that. We are trying to get all the singers to come and sing. I too would be singing."

Kim Kardashian Is Ready to Start a Family

Nearly two weeks after saying "I do" to Kris Humphries at a fairy tale wedding and spending five days in Italy with him on a mini-moon, new missus Kim Kardashian is reveling in her life happily-ever-after.

"I love being a wife," Kardashian told PEOPLE Wednesday at a party celebrating the newlyweds' move to New York City hosted by event designer Colin Cowie and publisher Jason Binn. "It's really fun, but I don't feel any different. I still have that exciting, dating feeling with him."

Already, the two are thinking about starting a family.

"Hopefully soon. Being a mom is something I've always wanted," she says, "so I would love to be one someday."

Bodyguard - Movie Review

After Wanted and Dabangg, Salman Khan is back with yet another release this Eid festive season. His latest movie Bodyguard is his usual masala entertainer film, but director Siddique seems to have grown beyond Salman's limits. The film is sure to rock the family audience with its simple and captivating story.

Bodyguard is remake of Malyalam movie with the same name, which is a romantic-action film. Salman Khan's rocking performance is the main attraction of the movie. Rajat Rawail's comedy timings, Himesh Reshammiya and Pritam's music, Sejal Shah's cinematography, Vijayan's action sequences and beautiful costumes and act direction are the other highlights of the film.

The movie Bodyguard has simple and engaging story that is relatable. Nothing much happens in the first half of the film and it runs with a routine Bollywood masala. But the movie turns serious with a twist at the end of the first half. Siddique has shown the best part of the film in the second half. The film has an unexpected twist in the pre-climax, which is completely shocking.

Lovely Singh [Salman Khan] is very punctual and perfect guy in his duties. He is becomes a bodyguard for Divya [Kareena Kapoor], who is the daughter of a business tycoon named Sartaj Rana [Raj Babbar]. He follows her to her college campus, but soon he becomes a menace for her with his over-protective nature. In bid to avoid him, Divya makes up a fake lover, who falls in love with 'private number'. Who is that girl? Is she really in love with him? Will he gets his true love in her? All these questions are answered in the climax.

With Bodyguard, Salman Khan has returned to a genre he started out with love story. He emotes well in sentimental sequences and he surely rocks the viewers in action, music and comedy sequences. Kareena Kapoor has a tailor-made role and she has really used it to show her acting skills. Rajat Rawail provides perfect comedy timings. Aditya Pancholi, Raj Babbar, Mahesh Manjrekar, Hazel Keech, Asrani and Vidya Sinha have delivered their best to suit their respective roles.

Himesh Reshammiya and Pritam's soundtracks are major highlights in the technical front and they fit well with the genre. The title track and 'Teri Meri...' are sure to rock the audience. Sandeep Shirodkar's background score is also good. Sejal Shah's camera work is the other attraction in the technical stuff. Vijayan's stunts are stylish and Sanjay Sankla's editing is also commendable.

Overall, Bodyguard is a good masala entertainer and it can be a perfect time-passer for this Eid and Ganesh festive seasons. Salman's fans should not miss to watch this movie.

Superhero origin stories have been all the rage at the multiplex this summer, with Marvel Comics alone accounting for two such films, Thor and X-Men: First Class, both of which happily surpassed critics’ expectations. Its latest, Captain America: The First Avenger – so named as to provide us a helpful link to the Avengers movie coming next year – arguably faces the trickiest task of all three, seeing as how Americans have not been in the most patriotic of moods in recent years. Could a flag-waving superhero really find purchase with a moviegoing audience that increasingly looks askance at such notions?

Surprisingly, yes. That Captain America succeeds – and resoundingly so – is partly due to the producers’ decision to set the film during World War II, a time where patriotism is a much easier sell. (And no viewer is too jaded to not enjoy seeing Nazis eviscerated en masse.) But proper credit must be given to director Joe Johnston, who has crafted a breathlessly entertaining popcorn movie that unambiguously embraces its hero’s old-fashioned sensibilities, and invites us to embrace them as well.

Chris Evans (The Losers, Fantastic Four) plays Steve Rogers, an earnest, oft-bullied ectomorph whose lone wish is to ship off to Europe and fight on the front lines. But a plethora of physical ailments have combined to render him hopelessly unfit to serve, however stiff his resolve. (To pull off the withered look of “Skinny Steve,” the filmmakers pulled off a nifty trick, grafting Evans’ head onto the body of another actor, Leander Neely.)

Rogers’ chance arrives in the guise of a government scientist, the German émigré Dr. Abraham Erskine (Stanley Tucci, as avuncular as a German-accented man can hope to be), who witnesses the young man’s idealistic ardor and recruits him to take part in secret military experiment. After proving his mettle in training, Rogers is delivered a dose of Super Serum, a PED that instantly makes him bigger, stronger, and faster than just about any other human alive.

Which is a good thing, because on the other side of the Atlantic, a renegade Nazi scientist, Johann Schmidt aka the Red Skull (Hugo Weaving, doing a tremendous Christoph Waltz impression), has happened upon his own supernatural power source, and he’s used it to quietly amass a private army, dubbed HYDRA, that is bent on supplanting Hitler’s world-domination scheme with its own. Soon, all that stands between defeat at the hands HYDRA and its arsenal of advanced weaponry is the juiced-up visage of the newly-christened Captain America.

Portraying a stalwart straight-arrow bereft of angst or ambiguity isn’t the easiest of tasks for any actor, but Evans does a commendable job of bringing depth and humanity to a character that all too easily could have come across as bland and one-dimensional. Johnston seems to recognize this potentiality, as he looks primarily to his supporting cast to supply the personality: Tucci and Weaving stand out, as do Tommy Lee Jones and Toby Jones, playing an irascible army commander and a timid HYDRA toady, respectively. The film’s romantic spark comes courtesy of the principal cast’s lone female representative, the excellent Haley Atwell, playing Rogers’ military liaison, Agent Peggy Carter.

More than anything, Captain America is a triumph of tone. A former ILM technician, Johnston did visual effects for Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Spielberg’s 1981 blockbuster was a conscious touchstone for his film’s throwback feel and aesthetic. (Another, less deliberate influence would be a previous Johnston film, The Rocketeer.) Captain America embodies the spirit of the old serials, melded with a tongue-in-cheek comic sense and punctuated by action sequences that deploy the requisite CGI fireworks with a welcome measure of restraint. The film is decidedly of its era, but never feels gratuitously nostalgic. And its production design is gorgeous: Red Skull’s lair in particular is a treasure trove of retro-futurist designs, all of which seem directly lifted from 1940s World’s Fair exhibits.
